Episode 3: “Trek Of A Lifetime” a Story by Courtney Condy

We all have met people who dream of quitting the nine to five rat race, for a life of more adventure and travel. Courtney Condy is one of those lucky few who actually went for it, and in 2015 she found herself on a trek of a lifetime to the Everest Basecamp in Nepal.

On this episode Courtney takes us to April 25th 2015 in Nepal, on the day the region was hit by a devastating 8.0 magnitude earthquake, that rocked the city as well as the surrounding mountain ranges leaving thousands dead and even more injured. Suddenly a trek of a lifetime became quick reminder of how fragile life can actually be.

Courtney Condy is the founder of Occupation Wild, a job board for the outdoor, adventure, and travel industry.
